Doordarshan Kendra Shillong will telecast a special programme-Eid Mubarak on Sunday, August 28 at 4.30 pm in the evening local transmisson.

 Fashion show

The fashion and interior design departments of KL Bajoria College and BK Bajoria School will organise a fashion show-”A New Dawn in the World of Creation” at U Soso Tham Auditorium at 3pm on September 2.

State Urban Affairs Minister, Ampareen Lyngdoh will be present at the occasion as the Chief Guest.

 Body found

The Pasteur Beat House on August 21 found a dead body at Polo Bazaar. The deceased has been identified as Kolin CH Momin (25) son of (L) Ampla CH Momin. The body is still lying at Shillong Civil Hopsital Morgue.

The relatives of the deceased can collect the body from the Civil hospital, police said.

 Dance fest

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) in collaboration with the Art and Culture Departments of Meghalaya and Mizoram will organise a four-day festival –”14 Tribes of North East India, A festival of Dances and Music” from August 29 to September 1.

On August 31 and September 1, the festival will be held at U Soso Tham Auditorium.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma will inaugurate the festival on August 31.
