One arrested for killing his wife

 SHILLONG: The State Police on Friday arrested one Arjun Barman from Kokrajhar in Assam for allegedly murdering his wife Analynda Nongspung (30) at Wahheh- Wahkdait, Nongmynsong on August 28.

Confirming this, Vivek Syiem, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime), said the Special Cell of the State Police went to Kokrajhar on Thursday after receiving the information regarding the whereabouts of Arjun Barman.

It may be reminded that on August 28, Nongmynsong police found the woman (Analynda Nongspung) and a man (Romen Singh) from Manipur in two different places at Wahheh, Wahkdait at Nongmynsong. The woman succumbed to her injuries on the same day.

In this connection, police picked up Alan Kharmujai for interrogation as Romen Singh’s body was found lying in his (Alan) automobile workshop. But after investigating into the matter, the police managed to track down the culprit.
