Awareness programme

The BSW III year students from the Department of Social Work, ST Edmund’s College will be organising an awareness programme on Total Sanitation Campaign in Phodjaud, Mawkyrwat on October 29. Mark West from the State Council of Science Technology and Environment will be speaking on the topic as the resource person.

 Wildlife Week Celebration

The valedictory function of the Wildlife Week Celebration , 2011 will be held at All Saints’ Hall at 11am on October 28. Forest and Environment Ministe, Prestone Tynsong will be present as the chief guest.

 Decade Day

Oscar M Memorial Secondary School, Lumbatngen will be celebrating “A Decade Cum Parent’s Day on November 4 at 11 am.

 Meeting

The Federation of all Meghalaya Adhoc School Teachers’ Association (FMASTA) has decided to meet the concern authority with their demand.The decision was taken in a meeting held recently at Buddha Vidyalaya Niketan Secondary School here in which all executive members from different districts and zonals were present.

 Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry, Lady Keane College will organize a talk to be delivered by Dr PK Iyer, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, IIT, Guwahati on October 27 at 11am in the Lady Keane College Auditorium to commemorate the International Year of Chemistry, 2011.

 Parent’s Day

The East-End Chambers School will celebrate Parent’s Day in the school auditorium at 4pm onwards on October 31.

 Science fair

The Block Development Level Science and Environment Fair was recently organised at Laishnong Secondary School and Pariong Presbytery Higher Secondary School, Pariong, West Khasi Hills.The fair was organised with the specific objective to inculcate a scientific temper and an environmental consciousness among the school children and to popularize science and technology at the grass root level.
