Dubai: Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan alongwith Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, walked the red carpet at the world premiere of his magnum opus Ra.One here.

Greeted by hundreds of delirious fans, the cast and crew of the film – including actress Shahana Goswami, child actor Armaan Verma, director Anubhav Sinha and designer Manish Malhotra – walked the red carpet at Dubai Grand Hyatt’s cinema on Monday. As Dubaiites prepared for Diwali, Shahrukh said his new movie was the perfect family entertainer to celebrate with.

“The film’s message is – as long as you have goodness in your heart you will always be a superhero,” he said.

The 45-year-old actor thanked Dubai for the warmth he receives during his visits here.

The film’s director Anubhav said that a sequel to the movie will definitely be made.

“It has all the qualities of a Diwali film. It’s happy, nice and has great songs – it’s just what people want to see,” he said, adding that in real life parents who take care of their kids are superheroes.

Fans waited for hours to catch a glimpse of the stars. Following the premiere, SRK attended a charity auction dinner for a local paediatric therapy centre. The actor-producer is scheduled to leave Dubai on Tuesday for the film’s premiere in London and Toronto. (PTI)
