TURA: NCP has attacked the ruling Congress in Meghalaya for taking credit on implementation of various schemes which are originally taken up during the tenure of the NCP-led MPA government in 2008-09.

Participating in a day-long conference held at Sibbari village in South Garo Hills, the Union Minister of State for Rural Development Agatha K Sangma said a major chunk of fund for development of Meghalaya comes from her Ministry and the Agriculture Ministry, “but implementation of schemes by the state government remains poor.”

“There are many a time when state complains about delay in release of Central funds. When I looked into the mater it was found that the state seldom implement the schemes,” she said.
