Annual meet

The junior Red Cross branch is organising the annual meet on October 31 at the campus of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides. Director of Higher and Technical Education W Khyllep will be the chief guest on the occasion.

Variety Show

Mayfair School, Laitumkhrah will present a Variety Show at Don Bosco Hall at 3pm on October 28.

Nongkrem dance

The Nongkrem Youth Development Association, a voluntary Organisation of Nongkrem village, will organise a cultural festival as part of the Nongkrem Dance Festival at Madan Iewpyrsing, Nongkrem on November 7 from 2pm. This programme is also organised to preserve the deity of the Bri U Hyniewtrep.

Council meet

The 15th State Council meeting of the Meghalaya Bharat Scout and Guide will be held on October 28 at the new conference hall of Bharat Scouts and guides.

Appeal

The North East India Christian Council has appealed to Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma, who also holds Tourism portfolio and the Meghalaya Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) to desist from holding the concluding day function of the annual Autumn Festival on Sunday (November 6)

Result

The result of the sit-and-draw competition organised by the Tarun Sangha Club on October 23 on the Laban Bengali Boys Higher secondary School premise has been declared. Dhrubajyoti Mandal from St Edmund’s School from Group A, Rachotia Das from Pine Mount from Group B, Rohit Kotal from BK Bajoria School from Group C, Madhusree Deb from St Mary’s High School from Group D and Paromita Paul from Army School from Group E secured the first positions.

The Ieng Rasong Sports Social and Cultural Club will organise its general council meeting at Shillong Club at 2pm on November 12.
