HR body demands probe

KOLKATA: Expressing doubts over the outcome of an ‘internal investigation’ giving clean chit to the authorities into the recent deaths of scores of children at the government-run B C Roy Children’s Hospital here, a well known Human Rights Organisation on Friday demanded a thorough probe into the whole issue by an independent panel of doctors.Put forwarding its demand through an open letter to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who also holds the Health portfolio, the People for Better Treatment(PBT) questioned the ‘neutrality of the internal probe’ by the government committee.
