SHILLONG: Two persons were arrested by the police on Tuesday afternoon for allegedly snatching a mobile phone of one, Shiningstar Manner on Monday. The persons were identified as Bari Mukhim (22) of Nongrah and Freddy Marboh (21) of Nongthymmai Lumiawblot. According to the police, the two men were caught by the public of Nongthymmai Nongkhyriem. The police later retrieved the mobile phone.
In another case, a 14 years old girl of Phong Khadar Shnong was allegedly raped by one Shakhak Dohling on October 24 inside a jungle near the locality. The police have arrested the accused.
