SHILLONG: The Meg-halaya Right to Information Movement (MRTIM) has dared Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma, State Vigilance Commissioner, senior government officials and CGI sheet supplier at attend the second public hearing on the anomalies in the purchase of CGI sheets under Rural Housing Scheme.
The hearing will be held at Don Bosco Youth Center, Laitumkhrah, on November 24, the MRTIM chairman Michael Syiem said in a statement on Monday.
He said, “November 24 hearing is the follow up to the last public hearing held on May 4 last year, where we had shared our RTI findings on the anomalies in the purchase of CGI sheets.”
Based on the RTI findings, the MRTIM had complained to the government and demanded that the government initiate an independent inquiry into the scam.
