Guv condoles cop’s death

Kohima: Nagaland Governor Nikhil Kumar on Monday condoled the death of Indian Reserve Battalion constable Mhasivikho Kirha, who succumbed to his bullet injury on Saturday.

Kirha received bullet wounds during an encounter with Maoists in West Bengal’s Purulia district and succumbed to his injuries on November 19 at Apollo Hospital in Ranchi.

In the condolence letter, to Smt Neiyiezii Kirha-mother of Late Constable Mhasivikho Kirha, Kumar said, ”I am saddened to hear of the demise of Constable Mhasivikho. His supreme sacrifice will be remembered with honour and gratitude,” the letter stated. (UNI)
