Two youths injured in road mishap

 JOWAI: Two people were critically injured in a road accident in the National highway NH-44 at a place called Hill-top near Khliehtyrshi village on Monday morning at around 11 am.  The two victims identified as rider Jagaria L Ngamlai and his friend George B.L Ngamlai are from Halfong Fiangpui village in North Cachar District, Assam.

 According to police both were travelling on a brand new motorcycle. They were on their way to Halflong from Guwahti and on reaching Hill-top the motorcycle hit a coal laden truck (ML04-9487) coming from the opposite direction. The youths and the motor cycle were crushed by the truck.  Police said, “George was hit in his legs and has a severe fracture while Jagaria has internal injuries.”
