Tributes paid to music maestros

 SHILLONG: The Shillong Music College (SMC)paid homage to four maestros of Indian music Pt Bhimsen Joshi, Jagjit Singh, Bhupan Hazirika and Suchitra Mitra on Sunday at a musical evening organized at Bangiya Sahitya Parishad Hall, Jail Road which was attended by music lovers and followers equally.

Many artists from the city, such as, Shikha Chakraborty, Pinak Pani Hore, Radhendu Das, Juri Hazirika, Dhananjoy Goswami besides principal of SMC Ratna Dasgupta and teachers Paromita Paul and Konica Borouah and students of SMC Priyanka Borouah and Sayantika Paul performed in the evening and enthralled the audience.
