Literacy campaign

A computer literacy programme organized by the Techies Club, Department of Computer Science and application in collaboration with the Social Department of St Edmund’s College, Shillong will be held at Mawlynnong village from December 1 to 3.

World Disabled Day 2011

The District Mission Coordinator, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) in collaboration with the District Social Welfare Office, East Khasi Hills will observe the World Disabled Day 2011 at Pynursla, East Khasi Hills on Saturday.

National seminar

Women’s College is organizing a two-day National Seminar on ‘Tagore’s Educational Philosophy and its Relevance in Contemporary India’ at the college premises here at 10am on Friday. Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma will be the chief guest.


The Seng Kur ki Khun ka Khmah Lyngdoh Mawphlang will felicitate the meritorious students or the clan who have excelled in the board or university examinations 2011 as well as to other members of the clan who have brought laurels through their achievement in different fields.
