Shillong to host BSF-BGB meet

SHILLONG: The city will host a four-day conference of the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) from December 12 to 15. Sources on Sunday informed that the agenda of the meeting will include cross border crimes, smuggling and a host of other illegal activities along the international border. This conference is also expected to throw light on the reported arrest of GNLA ‘chairman’ Champion Sangma in Bangladesh. The BGB delegation would be led by its Deputy Director General, Brigadier General Abu Sayeed Khan. The Inspector Generals of Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura would be attending the four-day conference.
