New York: 30 Rock star Alec Baldwin was kicked off a flight after an altercation with a member of cabin staff over him playing on his iPad device while the plane was still at the gate.

The 53-year-old actor, who was due to catch an American Airlines service from Los Angeles’ LAX airport, was reprimanded by crew member for playing a Scrabble-like game ‘Words With Friends’ on his iPad device, reported New York Post.

“Flight attendant on American reamed me out for playing Words With Friends while we sat at the gate, not moving. No wonder America Air is bankrupt,” Baldwin wrote on Twitter. Although, the star eventually caught a later flight, he vowed it would be his last with the company and slammed cabin crew members as “retired Catholic school gym teachers from the 1950s”.

“Last flight with American. Where retired Catholic school gym teachers from the 1950’s find jobs as flight attendants,” Baldwin tweeted.

An onlooker said, “I asked why he was being kicked off and it was for ‘abusive conduct to a flight attendant.’ You can’t just do that on flights today, no matter who you are, you can’t get away with anything. You gotta be nicer to them than they are to you. He didn’t have to do a lot to get these people ruffled.” (PTI)
