Makri and her three children and two other children belonging to her elder sister were sleeping inside the house when the fire broke out at around 3.30 am on Saturday.

The five children who died in the fire incident were Firstsonlan Makri (5), Lanson Makri (3), a three-month old baby of Bhirda Makri, Merisancy Makri (8) and Evaris Makri (6).
