Advance Christmas celebrated

 SHILLONG: The Ardh-endu Chaudhuri Charitable Trust (ACCT) and Rilbong Sports and Cultural Club (RSCC) jointly celebrated advance Christmas at the Rilbong Community Hall in city on Wednesday.

Addressing the gathering, Swami Achyuteshanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Shillong, said, “Every human being is fighting for their survival. We should fight to go closer and nearer to God”

Lauding the efforts of ACCT for organizing the celebration, he said, “Today a non-Christian organisation has organized a Christian festival and the time has come when a Christian organization will celebrate Durga Puja and so does Muslim organization. The whole idea is to come closer and nearer to God”.

Rev Pradeep Nongkynrih of Laban Presbyterian Church and Manas Chaudhuri, president of RSCC also spoke on the occasion.
