 Shillong: A go-down of the Gurkha Training Centre at ‘Law U Sip was reduced to ashes when a massive fire erupted at around 9 pm on Sunday.

There was no report of any causality, but the damage was huge, police sources said on Monday.

A loud explosion was heard due to bursting of paint containers belonging to one contractor. Emission of black smoke was noticed before the fire was brought under control.
