Road mishaps in State: Several injured

SHILLONG: An alert 108 Emergency Ambulance Service saved the lives several injured by promptly admitting them to nearby hospitals. A Tata Sumo private ambulance on its way to Dalu went off road after it was hit by a truck coming from the opposite direction. The incident took place about 1 km away from the Rongram Police Station on Thursday at 6:49pm. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Asanang admitted one Jyotsna Saha (65/female) to Tura Civil Hospital after she sustained injuries.

In another case, a driver of a Maruti 800 (local taxi) sustained injuries when the vehicle was hit by a truck coming from the opposite direction at 15th Mile, Byrnihaton Thursday. The 108 Emergency Service based at Byrnihat admitted Napoleon Shylla (22/male) to Nongpoh Civil Hospital.
