The Jana Shok Sabha held a condolence meet following the untimely demise of Late Prof. Gopi Narayan Pradhan on January 6, 2012. The meet was held at the premises of Gorkha Pathshala Higher Secondary School under the chairmanship of DN Joshi, former minister, Government of Meghalaya.
The strong gathering which included members of the Meghalaya Gorkha Welfare Union, Meghalaya State Bharatya Gorkha Pariangh and the Shillong Gorkha (Nepali) Educational & Socio-Cultural Society among others, paid rich tributes to late Prof Pradhan for his tireless service towards the cause of his mother tongue Nepali.
