Jala ordains Deacon Donsuk as priest

SHILLONG: The Archbishop of Shillong Archdiocese of the Catholic Church, Rev. Dominic Jala on Sunday ordained Deacon Donsuk Lyngdoh Mawphlang, as a priest of the Missionaries of Saint Francis De Sales congregation at the premises of St Domenic Parish Church at Mawlai.

Thousands of faithful witnessed Deacon Donsuk Lyngdoh Mawphlang make his religious final vow to be a priest till his death. Deacon Mawphlang is the 28th priest from St Domenic Parish Church at Mawlai.

He was ordained a priest of the Catholic Church after completing his long years of training including the studies of philosophy and theology at Concelebrated Holy Mass with Rev. Archbishop Jala as the main celebrant.

Delivering a homily at the priestly ordination ceremony, Rev. Archbishop Jala exhorted the newly ordained priest, Fr. Donsuk Lyngdoh Mawphlang to dedicate his service in spreading the word of God, in looking after the faithful and be an obedient servant of the Catholic Church.
