SHILLONG: With the growing demand for skilled people in the work field , the challenges for the young people have also doubled, Deputy Chief Minister Bindo Mathew Lanong said.

Lanong was addressing a gathering at the induction meet of a 6 months training programme organized by the office of OSD, vocational education and training (IIVET) at Malki here on Monday.

The work environment is such that only skilled people are required and skill development programme like these would go a long way in helping the youth to make use of their skills in the best possible way.
