Star Cement inaugurates public toilet

SHILLONG: Star Cement, the leading manufacturer of cement in the region, inaugurated a public toilet under it’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Project, in Mawlynnong, Meghalaya which is branded as Asia’s Cleanest Village on Saturday.

Regional Head, Star Cement Rajesh Srivastav, DGM – Brand Shoeb Tyebbhoy and other senior officials of the company inaugurated the toilet which was also attended by the residents of the area.President (Sales and Marketing), Star Cement Jyoti Agarwal said, “Star Cement takes it’s Corporate Social Responsibilities very seriously. This is the 4th toilet that we have donated to the people of Meghalaya – the other 3 being in Mawngap, Sohiong and Smit. It was very logical to provide this facility to the cleanest village in Asia because it would further help them in maintaining the high hygiene and cleanliness standards that they have and for which they have been felicitated.”
