AMESU applauds safe return of engineers

SHILLONG: The General Secretary, All MeECL Employees (Staff) Union (AMESU) has applauded the safety of the two innocent MeECL engineers who were captivated by the underground outfits in Garo Hills.

“On behalf of the members of MeECL in particular and all the MeECL employees in general, I thank the NGOs leaders and individuals whose supports and participations, the concerned citizens could unitedly display their concern through Peace March at Tura and Shillong for the safe release of the engineers,” said Sangma on Monday. He recalled the successful peace rally at Tura organized by HTWA on January 31 backed by Tura based NGOs like Senior Citizens Forum, Mothers Union, Student Bodies and common citizens. He also applauded the sincere efforts of the state government and positive role of the media for early release of the captivated engineers.
