SHILLONG: Two vehicles both traveling in the opposite direction were involved in an accident at Umphyrnai under Mawryngkneng Block on February 14at 10:37pm.

A truck on its way to Shillong collided with a TATA Sumo (MLO4E–7648) moving towards Sutnga from Shillong. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance (ESA) based at Smit admitted Sanbha Phawa (34/male), Krilin Sutnga (60/female) and Reema Julini Sutnga (40/female) to Shillong Civil Hospital.In another accident, a Maruti 800 went off the road and fell into a roadside drain while it was trying to make space for another vehicle coming from the opposite direction near the football field at 4th Mile, Upper Shillong on February 14 at 6:34pm. The two injured Kerry Warjri (22/male) and Bansiew (21/male) were given first aid on the spot by the staff of 108 ESA based at Civil Hospital.
