New York: Rolling Stones rocker Mick Jagger teamed up with fellow rocker Jeff Beck during a performance for US President Barack Obama at the White House.

Jagger was among the artists who performed at the Red, White and Blues event in Washington, DC in front of the president and his wife Michelle Obama, along with blues legend BB King.

Jagger also treated guests to a collaboration with Beck during the show, which won high praise from Obama, reported CNN online.

“(As president) some nights when you want to go out and just take a walk, clear your head, or jump into a car just to take a drive, you can’t do it. Secret Service won’t let you. And that’s frustrating.

“But then there are other nights where BB King and Mick Jagger come over to your house to play for a concert. So I guess things even out a little bit,” Obama said.

The president even got in the act when goaded by blues giant Buddy Guy, singing a verse of the rollicking finale ‘Sweet Home Chicago’. (PTI)
