SHILLONG: In a series of accidents that took place Sunday last, the 108 Emergency Service Ambulance came to the rescue of the injured and saved their lives.
A Mahindra Max on its way to Guwahati from Mawkriah was involved in a head on collision with a truck coming from the opposite direction near the Gorkha School, 3rd Mile, Upper Shillong on Sunday. The 108 ESA based at Shillong Civil Hospital admitted the injured to Civil Hospital, Shillong.
An Auto rickshaw traveling towards Krang from Sohiong went off the road and fell down the bridge side at Mawmaram under Mawphlang Block on the same day. The 108 ESA based at Mawphlang admitted Budlin Malniang and Stadlin Malniang to Gordon Robert’s Hospital, Shillong.
A Maruti local taxi and a private Maruti 800 were involved in a head on collision on the bridge at Mawlai Iewrynghep. The local taxi was on its way to Barapani when the incident happened on Sunday last. The 108 ESA based at Lawmali admitted the injured to Civil Hospital here. All the injured were passenger traveling on the local taxi.Meanwhile, Abdul Khalid a pillion rider sustained injuries after he fell of the motorbike when it skidded at Sadolpara under Rongram Block, West Garo Hills on Monday. The 108 ESA based at Tura admitted Khalid to Dadenggiri CHC.
