Meeting

The General Meeting of the Shillong Municipal Employees’ Association will be held on March 1 at 3pm in the office campus.

Programme

The Roko Cancer Charitable Trust, Civil Hospital, will organize a programme on Wednesday at 5pm at Highwind Guest House (Hope Clinic) Opposite Pine Mount Main Gate.

Unidentified body

An unidentified body age around 60 was found lying dead at Polo Bazaar on Sunday last. The body has been sent to Civil Hospital for post mortem and police informed that the deceased was alcoholic. The same is kept in the Civil Hospital Morgue for identification by relatives.

Workshop

A workshop on “Entrepreneurship Avenues in Tourism” will be held on March 1 at Hotel Pinewood at 10am which will be presided over by Dr Mukul Sangma as chief guest.

Redressal

The “Online State Public Grievance Redressal and Monitoring System” of Meghalaya will be launched on March 1 at 11:30am at Yojana Bhawan Auditorium which will be presided over by Dr Mukul Sangma as chief guest.

Traffic arrangement

The Mawklot Presbyterian Church has informed that the traffic arrangement on March 4, the last day of the Youth Convention of the KJP Synod Mihngi at Mawklot will be as follows—only light vehicles will be allowed to enter Mawklot village. The roads along the Sanmer, Upper Shillong and Farm 6th opposite Veterinary office at Upper Shillong will be one way and all the vehicles will have to exit from Nongumlong – Umlyngka – 3 Mer Upper Shillong. Buses with car passes are also allowed to pass through this way. Heavy vehicles will have to go through Nongpiur (6 Mer) Upper Shillong (Mattilang Park junction). Vendors and hawkers are not allowed to sell their items on this day.
