Orissa beat Meghalaya

Margao: First-half strike by Oran Rakesh helped Orissa to edge past Meghalaya in the final round of the 34th Sub-Junior National Football Championship, played at Nehru Stadium here today.

Oran Rakesh struck in the second minute of the first half for the winner.

In an another match, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh had to settle for an exciting 3-3 draw. Md Laki put UP in the lead in the 8th minute but Suman Sarkar equalised in the 20th minute. (PTI)
