The name of GVK EMRI founder GVK Reddy was wrongly mentioned in the news item under the caption “Opposition demands filling up of vacancies” which appeared in ‘The Shillong Times’ on March 20.

In fact, Ronchugiri NCP legislator James K Sangma during the Question Hour in the Assembly Budget Session was referring to the name of former head of EMRI and Satyam former chairman Ramalinga Raju who was reported to be involved in various scams.

The inadvertant error is regretted.
