Constable surrenders after firing at senior’s residence

SHILLONG: One constable Bijoy Ray, under the influence of liquor had a scuffle with his colleague Lumlang Maskut in their barrack at Purakhasia outpost in West Garo Hills on Friday night.

Soon after the scuffle Bijoy Ray fired four rounds from his service rifle at the quarter of SI B. Blah, in charge of Purakhasia Outpost and later fled away along with his service rifle, six magazines containing one hundred forty rounds live ammunitions.However, on Saturday morning, constable Bijoy Ray surrendered at Dalu Police station.
