Centre sanctions instalment for JNNURM scheme

SHILLONG: The Urban Affairs minister Ampareen Lyngdoh has informed that the Central Government has sanctioned the third instalment of the JNNURM scheme for the State.

“The instalment has been sanctioned and we are waiting for the release of it,” she added while talking to The Shillong Times. Under the scheme various drainage programmes in Malki, Dhankheti, Don Bosco will be taken up later this month to lessen the havoc that was created by floods last year during rainy season.
