Dry Day

The Deputy Commissioner of Jaintia Hills has declared April 6 as Dry Day throughout the district on account of Good Friday. All IMFL licensed premises (wholesale and retail sale), bars, canteens, country spirit shops shall remain close on the said day.

Consumers’ Day

The Sub-Divisional Officer (Supply) Khliehriat Civil Sub Division has informed that the consumers’ rights day will be observed in Khliehriat on Friday at 1pm in the conference room of the office of the sub-division.

Three hurt

Three persons were injured when a car (ASO1GG-3397) in which they were travelling had a head on collision with a truck (MLO5H-6099) coming from the opposite direction at Nongpoh on Wednesday.
