Malki sub-committee refutes allegations

 SHILLONG: The members of the sub-committee of Malki locality has refuted the allegations leveled against them by the Joint Action Committee of Malki recently on the deluded tactics of the committee.

In a clarification sent here on Thursday, Convener of the Sub-Committee Jemino Mawthoh said the allegations are baseless and an attempt to create confusion and misunderstanding among the residents of Malki.Defending his stand, Mawthoh said a sub- committee was formed to facilitate the process of electing a new headman and the committee which also comprises members of the JAC and Greater Malki People’s Organisation (GMPO) was given one month’s time to complete the work i.e. before the November 7.
