 SHILLONG: An unidentified person died en-route to a hospital and another sustained serious injuries after they were hit by a Mahindra pick-up truck while they were sitting on the side of the road at Mukdangra, West Garo Hills on Friday at 3:00pm. The vehicle then went off the road and overturned. The 108 ESA based at Asanang and Tura admitted Samel T Sangma (35/male) and Maidul Islam (29/male) the driver of the Mahindra pick-up to Tura Civil Hospital.Lagnu Rohtia (60/male) sustained injuries after he was hit by a vehicle while he was walking on the side of the road at 22 Mile, Umling, Ri Bhoi District on Friday.

On the same day, another pedestrian sustained injuries after he was hit by a vehicle while he was walking on the side of the road near MPRO Office, Golflink at 1:05 P.M. The 108 ESA based at Lawmali admitted Anthony Kshiar (18/male) to Shillong Civil Hospital.

Meanwhile, Omni Hajong (40/male) sustained injuries after he fell off his motorbike on a turning at Jholgaon under Betasingh Block, West Garo Hills on Friday at 5:09pm.
