Cherry Kor Dor A Kharshiing of Mawlai Nongmali-3 has been awarded PhD by NEHU for her thesis ‘A semiotic analyses of the Iing Sad of the Khasis’. She worked under the supervision of (retd) Prof Prabodh Jhingan, department of cultural and creative studies, NEHU. She is currently the head of department of Mass Media, St Anthony’s College.

 Rophyneda Lyngdoh of Laitduh village, Sohra has been awarded PhD by NEHU for her thesis ‘A study of Archery in Khasi society’. She worked under the supervision of (retd) Prof Prabodh Jhingan, department of cultural and creative studies, NEHU.
