SHILLONG: The proposed meeting between Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma and Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, Dr Montek Singh Ahluwalia to finalise the State Annual Plan has been shifted to May.

The meeting was earlier scheduled in the last week of April.

“The meeting has been postponed till May,” a senior government official informed on Saturday.

It may be mentioned that Dr Sangma, who holds the State Finance portfolio, is slated to get Planning Commission approval for the State annual plan outlay of Rs 3,535 crore for 2012-2013.

“We are hopeful that the Planning Commission would approve the full amount that has been projected by the State Government,” the official said, while adding that it is possible that there might be slight changes in the final allocation from what has been projected.
