52 domestic LPG cylinders seized in city

 SHILLONG: The East Khasi Hills administration on Friday seized 52 domestic Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders from different areas of the city.

17 LPG cylinders were seized from Micasa Hotel. 16 cylinders were seized from Happy Valley area while four each were seized from Police Bazar and NEIGRIHMS area.

The district administration has also filed an FIR against Micasa Hotel

The Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Goyal said,” The shortage of LPG supply is putting the common man and consumer in lot of inconvenience and anybody involved in diversion would not be spared and from now onwards and FIRs would be filed against all involved as enough warnings have already been given to all.”

According to Goyal, he has also directed the agencies to ensure that there is no black marketing of the domestic cylinders.
