Siuation tense but normal in Laitumkhrah

 SHILLONG: The situation in Laitumkhrah area was normal but tensed on Monday.

The situation in the area turned volatile on Saturday night after an elderly man was hit on the head by a group of youths leading to huge gathering of mob in the area.

A Peace Coordination Committee meeting was also held on Monday where it was decided that no one should be allowed to take law into their own hands.

The police has also asked the people to produce the two youths against whom the FIRs have been field by the senior citizen who was hit on the head on Saturday night.
