Social activist dead

Guwahati: Social worker Nirmala Tamuli breathed her last at her residence at Rangmahal area of north Guwahati in Assam on Thursday. She was 66.

Family sources said Tamuli was bed-ridden for sometime and expired at her residence on Thursday morning.

An active social worker, she was also associated with the local Congress unit.

Tamuli is survived by her husband, two sons, six daughters and a host of relatives. Her death has been widely condoled in the area. (UNI)
