Abducted engineer found dead

Guwahati: The bullet-riddled body of an abducted engineer of Assam agriculture department was found on Thursday in Bongaigaon district, while whereabouts of his another colleague was still unknown, police said. The body of abducted engineer Gadapani Pathak was found at a field in Kakragaon area in Abhayapuri town, they said. Pathak and his colleague Faizur Rahman were kidnapped last night by four unidentified armed men at Kakragaon while they were returning to Guwahati from Dhubri in a car. Both Pathak and Rahman were engineers in Gauripur agriculture engineering department. The abductors had overpowered the car driver and whisked away the duo in another vehicle. (PTI)
