Quake in Assam, Arunachal

Guwahati: A slight intensity earthquake rocked parts of eastern Assam and neighbouring Arunachal Pradesh in the early hours on Saturday.

Meteorological department sources said the quake measured 4.4 on the Richter scale and was epicentred in Dibrugarh district on the eastern fringe of Assam.

It occurred at 0139 hours, the sources said.

No report of any loss of life or damage of property has been reported. (PTI)
