Miscreants steal ATM card, withdraw Rs 32, 000

 SHILLONG: Unknown miscreants stole cash Rs8,000 and one ATM card from one Zurie Lyngdoh at Iewduh, recently. Later, the miscreants withdrew Rs32,000 from her account through the stolen ATM card. In another incident, one Lalthangwawpi Ralte vandalized the SBI ATM at Laitumkhrah and was later arrested by police.

Meanwhile, one Hermon Nongrum snatched a gold necklace (2½ tolas) valued around Rs 90,000 from one Asha Gurung at Happy Valley, Shillong. Police is hunting the miscreant.

In another incident, Plenty Makri, Headmistress, Little Blossom LP School, Umroi lodged a complaint at Umroi Police Station that unknown miscreants set the school building on fire recently after midnight.

As a result, furniture and documents of the school were gutted and the school building was partially damaged.
