SHILLONG: The International Spiritual Organization, Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, is observing its Platinum Jubilee Year by organizing the ‘Jeevan Darshan Mela’ from May 13th till May 20th at the Shillong Club Ground.
With its inception in 1937, the Brahma Kumaris have been rendering the message of peace and brotherhood and have now set forth to convey the message of spirituality through this function. The theme this year is ‘Call of the Hour’ which stands as a call for every individual to realize that the time of awakening has arrived.
The event will be inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Sanjay Goyal and will be graced by the presence of various guests from India and abroad. Talking about the occasion, Dr. Binni Sarin of the organization said, “I have come here on a very good occasion. This institution is awakening spirituality and contributing to uplift the same across the world”. The fair will be attended by other distinguished leaders including the Director, the Additional Chief, the Senior Rajyoga Teacher of the Brahmakumaris etc.
Being a World Spiritual University, it has received 7 Peace Messenger Awards for its services in the various fields of providing medical services, counseling, self-awakening services etc. The Brahma Kumaris have worked with youth, criminals, soldiers, addicts etc. and have treated more than 2000 heart patients without bypass surgeries.
The fair aims to act as an antidote to turmoil, anxiety, depression etc in every person’s life. It will benefit every individual physically and spiritually through seminars, health check up camps, competitions etc.
