500 women delegates attend meet

 NONGSTOIN: Dr Jova Marak called a meeting at Malangkona recently which saw participation of over 500 delegates from over 34 villages in the region. Dr Marak was the Chief Guest at the meeting a chaired by Lunis K Marak a member of the Congress party of Malangkhona.

In the meeting, Jova Marak spoke about the common problems that women faced. She said that women are treated as commodities and that all women should collectively try to redress their grievances. She further spoke about the plans and strategies of how to work for the upcoming election. A new committee was formed in Aradonga called Mothers’ Union during the meeting.
