Appeal to release abducted coal traders

 SHILLONG: The Joint Action Committee of Coal Miners Welfare Association, Khliehriat in Jaintia Hills has taken stock of the recent kidnapping case of two coal dealers from Moopat village under Sutnga Elaka, Jaintia Hills.

The JAC which met at Khliehriat recently unanimously resolved to appeal the kidnappers to release the two coal dealers immediately without harming them. Two coal dealers identified as Bijendar Dube and Manoj Singh were kidnapped by unknown miscreants on May 6 from Moopat village. While appreciating the steps and actions initiated by the district police, the JAC urged upon the general public to inform the Khliehriat Police Station if the two individuals are seen or have any information on their whereabouts.
