Lanong lauds Central govt

 Shillong: Deputy Chief Minister in charge of Law department Bindo M Lanong has lauded the Centre for approving creation of a separate high court in Meghalaya.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, Lanong thanked Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Home Minister P Chidambaram, Law Minister Salman Khursheed and former Law Minister Dr Veerappa Moily for taking personal initiatives to turn the dream of the people of the State into a reality.

He also said that the department would soon meet to finalise the process for creation of a separate high court in the State.
