AGP delegation calls on Governor

Guwahati: A delegation of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) leaders, led by party President Prafulla Kumar Mahanta on Friday urged Assam Governor J B Patnaik to intervene and initiate necessary action on several problems facing the state including price rise. The AGP leaders registered their protest with the governor on spiralling price rise and urged him to take necessary steps to initiate dialogue with anti-big dam activists . The opposition party also urged the governor to take steps to initiate a high-level inquiry into the recent incident of more than 350 girls falling ill . (PTI)
