Ghatowar inaugurates college building in Jowai

 JOWAI: DoNER Minister Paban Singh Ghatowar on Tuesday inaugurated the newly-constructed building of Thomas Jones Synod College, a Presbyterian institution, at Jowai.

Union Minister of State for Water Resources and Minority Affair Vincent H Pala and Meghalaya Education Minister Dr RC Laloo were present on the occasion.

The building was constructed with financial assistance from the DoNER ministry. Rs. 3.36 crore was sanctioned for the purpose.

Ghatowar later visited Iawmusiang Market, the biggest market place in Jaintia Hills district.

JHADC CEM Lamdibok Sumer accompanied the Union Minister.

The DoNER Ministry had sanctioned Rs 18. 09 crore for construction of this market complex.
