The District Disaster Management Authority , West Khasi Hills District , Nongstoin in collaboration with the Village Disaster Management Committee of Pyndengrei organized a two-day Intensive Awareness Programme on Disaster Management and Mock Drill on Earthquake Preparedness at Pyndengrei Village from May 28– 29.

The 2nd Annual “Mr Iron man 2012 ” body building competition organized by the Meghalaya Body Building and Fitness Association will be held on June 16 at Axom Kristi Kendra, Dhankheti.
Body found
One unidentified male body, aged between 25-26 years was found at Luclier Road Garikhana. The body of the deceased (5.2 ft, fair), who seems to be a non-tribal, is at the Civil Hospital Morgue Room.
